Wears Woody came to me looking to find new creative ideas for their stickers, store graphics, shirts, etc. Wears Woody main branding captures the feel and freedom of the West Coast beach lifestyle. Their existing apparel mainly consisted of stripes and a “W” to represent their logo. To add some flare to their apparel, I tried to do designs that were more than just an icon and stripes. This is how the “Sunset Woody” t-shirt came to be. I wanted to do a full graphic that played with simple shapes and environments.
Some small icons were requested in order to be made into stickers. There were three designs in total. One sticker was made for a diabetes event. I had this design have their iconic car logo crack the typography of the word “diabetes” in order to match the slogan of “Driving Over Diabetes”. The next sticker design was a simple oval shape that incorporated their existing W and stripe designs. For this sticker, I mainly wanted to play around with new color palettes, and ended with a fresh retro summer vibe. The idea of this sticker was something you could place on a laptop or water bottle. Finally, the rainbow woody sticker was just my take on the Woody car logo but giving it a new spin.
